Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin played a crucial role in the victory and shared his thoughts on the challenges of playing at 38 and his fitness routine during the post-match press conference.

Ravichandran Ashwin, reflecting on his age and fitness, said, “It is a challenge. It’s not like being 25, 26, 30, or 35, every effort you put in, you have to double it.” He also mentioned his participation in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) and the high intensity of the games. Ashwin emphasized that he has no specific goals and just wants to enjoy his game and be the best he can be. He added, “I am not ambitious at this point. On Day 4 of the Chennai Test, India needed six wickets to win, while Bangladesh required 357 more runs. Ashwin took six wickets in his 21 overs, conceding 88 runs.
