Dhawan’s retirement marks the end of a significant chapter in Indian cricket. In his illustrious career, Dhawan represented India across all formats, excelling particularly in ODIs. He scored 6,793 runs in 167 ODI matches, including 17 centuries and 39 fifties. In Tests, he amassed 2,315 runs in 34 matches, with seven centuries and five half-centuries. In T20Is, Dhawan scored 1,759 runs in 68 matches, including 11 fifties.

In domestic cricket, Dhawan played 122 first-class matches, scoring 8,499 runs with 25 centuries and 29 fifties. In List A cricket, he scored 12,074 runs in 302 matches, including 30 centuries and 67 fifties. Dhawan is also the second-highest run-scorer in IPL history, with 6,769 runs in 222 matches, including two centuries and 51 fifties.
