The Ratnagiri Jets have successfully defended their Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) title by defeating the Eagle Nashik Titans by 24 runs at the MCA International Stadium in Pune, Maharashtra.

In the first innings, the Jets scored a modest 160 runs. Despite this, their strong bowling performance ensured their victory. Left-arm spinners Satyajeet Bachhav and Kunal Thorat played crucial roles, with Bachhav taking four wickets and Thorat taking two.

Key Performances

Bachhav’s impressive bowling earned him the purple cap for taking 26 wickets in the tournament. He dismissed key players like Kaushal Tambe, Atharva Kale, and Mukesh Chaudhary. Thorat also contributed by taking the wickets of Arshin Kulkarni and Dhanraj Shinde.

Earlier in the game, a 44-run partnership between Kiran Chormale and Abhishek Pawar helped the Jets recover from a shaky start. Nikhil Naik also played a vital role, scoring 36 runs to guide the team to a total of 160 for 8.
