Raksha Nikhil Khadse and Alexey Morozov Discuss Sports Cooperation in Moscow
Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, met with Russian Deputy Sports Minister, Alexey Morozov, in Moscow. They discussed ways to deepen sports cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of ASEAN events in Vientiane, Laos. They were seen sharing a laugh and shaking hands.
The BRICS Games were held in Tatarstan from June 12 to 23, with about 4,000 participants from various countries. The BRICS sports ministers’ meeting on June 22 included representatives from China, UAE, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, India, South Africa, and Brazil. Russian Deputy Sports Minister Alexey Morozov mentioned that the final sports program included 27 sports.
India and Russia have a longstanding partnership, and the development of their relations is a key aspect of India’s foreign policy.
