Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 28: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met and congratulated Paris 2024 Paralympics Bronze Medallists, Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar, at Raj Bhawan on Saturday. The Indian archery pair won the bronze medal in the mixed team compound event by defeating Eleonora Sarti and Matteo Bonnacina of Italy at the Paris Paralympics.

The Lt Governor praised the para-archers from Jammu and Kashmir for their outstanding performance. He said their hard work and dedication have made the nation proud and will inspire the younger generation. The Lt Governor also honored their coach, Abhilasha Chaudhary, and wished them success in their future endeavors. Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer of SMVDSB, and other senior officers of the Shrine Board were also present.

India concluded its historic Paris Paralympics campaign with a total of 29 medals, including seven gold, nine silver, and 13 bronze medals, the most ever for the country in the competition.
