Vice President Dhankhar mentioned the tragic helicopter crash on May 19, 2024, that claimed the lives of Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of Iran, and H Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s Foreign Minister. He noted their efforts in strengthening bilateral relations and shared that India observed a day of national mourning on May 21, 2024.

Ali Hassan Mwinyi, former President of Tanzania, passed away on February 29, 2024. Dhankhar praised Mwinyi’s economic policies and his role in advancing India-Tanzania relations.

Saulos Klaus Chilima, Vice President of Malawi, died in a plane crash on June 10, 2024. Dhankhar highlighted Chilima’s contributions as an economist and politician.
