Rajeshwari Kumari to Train in Czech Republic for Paris 2024 Olympics

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports’ Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) has approved Trap shooter Rajeshwari Kumari’s request for assistance to train with her coach David Kostelecky in the Czech Republic ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics. The MOC will also cover expenses for training camps in Lonato and Cernay, France.

The Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) will cover costs for flights, shooting consumables, board and lodging, and local transport.

Additionally, Long Jumper M Sreeshankar will receive post-surgery rehab for 28 days in Doha, Qatar. Sreeshankar, an Asian Games medallist, injured his knee during training and underwent surgery in April. TOPS will cover his air ticket, board and lodging, Out of Pocket Allowance, rehabilitation assessment, physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy costs.

The MOC also approved assistance for Paris Olympics-bound shooters Anish Bhanwala and Vijayveer Sidhu to compete in the Rapid Fire Cup in Suhl, Germany, and for badminton players Sankar Muthusamy, Ayush Shetty, and Anupama Upadhaya for competitive exposure.
