Rajasthan Minister Kirodi Lal Meena Resigns After BJP’s Loss in Dausa

Kirodi Lal Meena, a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, resigned as a minister after the party lost the Dausa Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 elections. Meena emphasized his moral obligation to resign and expressed his continued loyalty to the BJP. Despite the Chief Minister rejecting his resignation, Meena sent it by post and plans to go to Delhi.

Election Results

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 14 out of 25 seats while the Congress won eight seats. The Congress party’s Murari Lal Meena secured the Dausa Lok Sabha seat with 646,266 votes, defeating BJP’s Kanhaiya Lal Meena who garnered 408,926 votes.
