Rajasthan Leaders Criticize BJP for Threats Against Rahul Gandhi

Jaipur, Rajasthan – On Thursday, Tika Ram Jully, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, criticized the central government for not taking action against BJP leaders who made objectionable statements about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. During a protest at Shaheed Smarak, Jully accused BJP leaders of trying to incite violence and spread hatred.

Jully said, “The kind of language being used by the minister, calling Rahul Gandhi a terrorist, and calling for his murder, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi or even Amit Shah are not taking any action against such comments. It looks like this is happening by the orders of the BJP. Unhone nafrat ke bazaar mein mohabaat ki dukaan kholi hai (Rahul Gandhi has opened a shop of love in the market of hatred).”

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasra also participated in the protest. He condemned the threats against Rahul Gandhi and criticized BJP leaders for not denouncing these comments. Dotasra said, “They are using violent language and no complaints are being registered against them. There is a BJP government at the center and they haven’t released a statement that such language is wrong. There is talk of cutting off Rahul Gandhi’s tongue, of him being killed like his grandmother, and the leader of the opposition is being called a terrorist.”

Dotasra further added, “PM Modi’s silence is deafening. As someone whose family has made the ultimate sacrifice for the country, with his father and grandmother being martyrs, he should be ashamed to remain silent. Despite traveling the world, he hasn’t uttered a word condemning the use of such language.”

He also accused the BJP of trying to tear apart the Constitution and following the ideology of Nathuram Godse. Dotasra said, “We will protest against this and we will show them their place by pushing them out of power, in villages, states, wards, the national level all places we would do the work. It is not like the government is doing any good work, even in Rajasthan the government is not doing some great work. They don’t even know from where their government starts and they don’t even know what work to do where. Go to any minister, MLA, or even CM, they say no one listens to them, so tell us who is in charge.”

Dotasra also criticized the Union Cabinet’s approval of the One Nation One Election proposal, calling it a ‘jumla’ and doubting its implementation. He said, “All the other promises, of giving 15 lakh rupees, giving jobs to 2 crore people daily, even with the women reservation bill, they passed it but now no one can say when it will be implemented.”

Earlier, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu called Rahul Gandhi a “number 1 terrorist,” accusing him of spending most of his time abroad and criticizing India. Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad also made controversial remarks, offering a reward of Rs 11 lakh to anyone who cut off Gandhi’s tongue. Maharashtra Police have registered an FIR against Gaikwad under various sections at Buldana City Police Station.
