Rajasthan’s New Initiatives for Development

Introduction

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma held a high-level meeting to discuss new welfare initiatives as the state government approaches its first anniversary. These initiatives aim to support youth, farmers, women, and workers across Rajasthan.

Key Announcements

The government plans to inaugurate projects worth over Rs 25,000 crore, showcasing its commitment to development from urban areas to rural gram panchayats. The Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit will be a highlight, with a focus on implementing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed at pre-summit events.

Employment and Youth Programs

An Employment Festival will create job opportunities for 30,000 youths, with 70,000 new vacancies to be announced. Programs like the Business Innovation Program, Atal Entrepreneurship Program, and LEAP Program under i-Start aim to empower the youth. The Target Olympic Podium scheme and a Sports Life Insurance Scheme will support young athletes.

Women’s Empowerment

Plans include making 100,000 women ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and providing financial support to self-help groups through the Rajsakhi portal. The Chief Minister Amrit Aahar Yojana and Ladli Protsahan Yojana will also be launched.

Support for Farmers and Workers

The second installment of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi will be disbursed, along with grants for farm ponds and Gopal Credit Cards for livestock farmers. Worker welfare programs include transferring Rs 150 crore to construction workers and providing assistive equipment to differently-abled individuals.
