Chittorgarh (Rajasthan), September 19: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma participated in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in Chittorgarh. He announced that the government has planted 2 crore saplings in one day and aims to plant 50 crore saplings in the next five years.

The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 5, World Environment Day. The campaign encourages people to plant a sapling as a tribute to their mothers and share their planting experience using the hashtag #Plant4Mother. PM Modi emphasized the importance of protecting the environment and shared his own tree-planting experience.

CM Sharma praised PM Modi’s Swachhata Abhiyan, which started on October 2, and highlighted the government’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to the people of Rajasthan. He assured that the government will provide 4 lakh government jobs and create 6 lakh private jobs in the state.

Earlier, CM Sharma inaugurated the ‘CM Employment Festival’ and laid the foundation stone for the PM Housing Scheme and various development projects. He reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the 8 crore people of Rajasthan, regardless of political affiliations in the Vidhan Sabha.
