Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Wishes Union Minister Bhupender Yadav on His Birthday

New Delhi, June 30: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma extended his heartfelt wishes to Union Minister for Environment Bhupender Yadav on his birthday. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), CM Sharma expressed his congratulations and best wishes in Hindi, praying for Yadav’s good health and long life.

Earlier, Bhupender Yadav thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his birthday wishes. Yadav expressed his desire to contribute towards building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) under PM Modi’s leadership.

PM Modi praised Yadav’s efforts to improve environmental conditions and promote sustainable development, wishing him a long and healthy life.

Bhupender Yadav has been serving as the Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change since June 11 in the third Modi government. He previously held the same position in the second Modi government, succeeding Prakash Javadekar in July 2021.

During his tenure, Yadav has been recognized for his strong defense of India’s coal dependence at international climate talks. His achievements include India’s climate actions being rated the fourth strongest globally, the reintroduction of cheetahs, a ban on single-use plastics, and an increase in Ramsar sites.

Yadav’s role will be crucial as India proposes to host the international climate talks (COP33) in 2028. He won the Alwar constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, marking his first contest in a general election after serving as a party office-bearer for over two decades. He has also been a Rajya Sabha member representing Rajasthan since 2012, with a re-election in 2018.
