Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan is in the United Kingdom to promote the upcoming Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, scheduled for December 9 to 11 in Jaipur. At a tourism meet in London, held at the Taj Hotel, Sharma addressed tourism professionals and investors, emphasizing Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty.

Rajasthan: A Top Tourist Destination

Sharma highlighted that Rajasthan is a major attraction for tourists, with every third tourist visiting India also visiting Rajasthan. The state is renowned for its historical landmarks and cultural heritage. In the financial year 2022/23, Rajasthan welcomed 180 million domestic tourists, marking a 65% increase from the previous year.

Investment Opportunities in Rajasthan

Sharma invited investors to explore opportunities in Rajasthan’s tourism industry, noting that the state is not only a tourist hotspot but also an attractive destination for investors. He mentioned the need for extra hotel arrangements in cities like Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, and Udaipur during peak tourist seasons.

Upcoming Global Summit

The Rising Rajasthan Global Summit will feature sessions on various sectors, including agriculture, renewable energy, education, and tourism, aiming to attract global investment and enhance the state’s economic growth.
