Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan led a delegation to London to promote the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024. The summit will be held in Jaipur from December 9 to 11. The delegation met with various UK-based firms in sectors like health, renewable energy, and sports.

Key Meetings and Agreements

The delegation visited the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and Imperial Innovation Hub to explore collaborations. They also met with Royal Multisport Pvt Ltd, owners of the Rajasthan Royals cricket team, at Lord’s Cricket Ground. An MoU was signed to develop Jaipur as a sports hub.

Investment Roadshow

During an investor roadshow, CM Sharma unveiled the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024, offering incentives for IT, power, and logistics sectors. MoUs were exchanged with Indo-UK Institute of Health, Hindustan Silicon Resources Ltd, and ReNew Power for investments in bio-medical waste treatment, defense, and renewable energy.

CM Sharma expressed eagerness to work with British companies to double Rajasthan’s economy. Deputy CM Diya Kumari highlighted the state’s progressive policies attracting foreign investments. High Commissioner Vikram K Doraiswami praised Rajasthan’s outreach efforts.

Earlier, the delegation visited Germany, signing MoUs with several firms. The total investment pledged for the summit has reached over INR 15 lakh crore.
