Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], July 15: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is traveling to New Delhi to attend a review meeting of the National Highway Projects of Rajasthan State on Monday. After landing in the national capital this morning, he will be staying at Jodhpur House before proceeding to a hotel in central Delhi for the meeting. Chief Minister Sharma is expected to depart from Delhi Airport this evening for Jaipur.

On July 10, the Rajasthan Government presented the budget for the financial year 2024-25. A key highlight was the infrastructural development, including nine ‘Green Field Expressways’ spanning more than 2750 kilometers and the construction of a road network of 53,000 kilometers over five years, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 60,000 crore.

The budget, presented by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, focused on various aspects such as the development of basic amenities like water, electricity, and roads; human resource development; planned development of rural and urban areas with sustainable development; the empowerment of farmer families; the development of MSMEs and big industries; heritage conservation; Green Rajasthan; health for all; social security for deprived families; and establishing good governance with perform, reform, and transform.

The estimated revenue of the state for the financial year 2024-25 is Rs 2.64 lakh crore, while the estimated expenditure is Rs 2.90 lakh crore.

Addressing a press conference in Udaipur yesterday, Rajasthan minister Hemant Meena said, ‘The state Budget was presented under the leadership of CM Bhajanlal Sharma. The Chief Minister called a meeting of all the officials and gave instructions for the implementation of the announcements made in the Budget… Bhajanlal Sharma believes that we will inaugurate those things that we will announce. The previous government only made promises but we will work to fulfil the promises made by us.’
