Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray offered prayers to Lord Ganesh at a Ganesh Pandal in Mumbai on Monday. During his visit, he interacted with devotees and received an idol of Lord Ganesha from the pandal committee organizers.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and his wife Sonal Shah also participated in the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. They visited Lalbaugcha Raja and offered prayers. Amit Shah also visited the official residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, known as Varsha Bungalow, and the residence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to offer prayers.

Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day festival that started on September 7 and will continue until Anantha Chaturdashi. This festival, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi, celebrates Lord Ganesha as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles. Devotees across India and abroad celebrate with elaborate decorations, prayers, music, and festive chants. The streets come alive with vibrant processions and traditional rituals as people prepare delicious offerings and visit beautifully decorated pandals.
