Authorities at Raipur Central Jail in Chhattisgarh allowed women to tie ‘Rakhis’ to their brothers in prison on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This marks the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic that sisters could meet their brothers for the festival at the jail. Security arrangements were made to ensure a smooth celebration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with schoolgirls tying rakhis on his wrist in the national capital. He extended his wishes to the people, praying for everyone’s happiness and prosperity.
