New Delhi, India – On August 27, light rain fell in various parts of the national capital, New Delhi, during the midnight celebration of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 30-40 km/h, is expected in several areas including West Delhi, Central Delhi, New Delhi, South-West Delhi, South Delhi, South-East Delhi, East Delhi, and the NCR regions of Gurugram, Faridabad, and Manesar.

Additionally, a depression over north Gujarat has moved westwards in the past six hours and is currently about 70 km south-southeast of Deesa. The IMD predicts that it will move slowly west-southwest across the Gujarat region and reach Saurashtra, Kutch, adjoining areas of Pakistan, and the northeastern Arabian Sea by the morning of August 29.

Earlier, on August 25, rain also fell in several parts of Delhi, providing relief from the humid weather conditions.
