In Alipurduar, West Bengal, voting is underway for the by-election in six assembly constituencies, including Madarihat. BJP candidate Rahul Lohar expressed confidence that the people of Madarihat will respond to the issues of corruption and women’s safety in this election. Meanwhile, Jharkhand’s assembly elections also began, with a 13.04% voter turnout recorded by 9 am.
