Rahul Gandhi’s Seat Controversy at Independence Day Celebrations

New Delhi, August 15: During the Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort, a controversy arose when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seated in the fifth row. Congress leader Pawan Khera stated that it doesn’t matter where Rahul Gandhi sits because he holds a special place in the hearts of Indians.

Khera mentioned that the seating arrangement might have been a form of retaliation by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh or at the Prime Minister’s behest. He also pointed out that when Congress was in power, they always gave first or second-row seats to senior opposition leaders.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate criticized Prime Minister Modi, calling him a person with a ‘petty mindset.’ She emphasized that the Leader of the Opposition should be respected and that the seating arrangement showed a lack of respect for democratic traditions.

Khera also criticized PM Modi’s anti-corruption stance, noting that many individuals previously branded as corrupt by Modi are now part of the BJP.
