New Delhi, India – Congress MP Pramod Tiwari has backed Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on unemployment, stating that Gandhi’s comments are based on historical and geographical data. Tiwari emphasized that the country has faced the highest unemployment in 40 years under the BJP’s rule.

Reacting to Union Minister Giriraj Singh’s comments on Rahul Gandhi’s views on the RSS, Tiwari mentioned that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi always criticized the RSS for spreading communalism. He reiterated that the RSS’s actions benefit the BJP and that Indira Gandhi was always against their communal bias.

Earlier, Giriraj Singh had said that the Congress would need many lifetimes to understand the RSS, which he claimed is rooted in India’s values and culture. He accused Rahul Gandhi of defaming India abroad and stated that Gandhi would never understand the RSS.

During his visit to the US, Rahul Gandhi spoke about the global issue of unemployment, comparing it to countries like China and Vietnam, which do not face such problems. He argued that the act of production creates jobs and criticized the shift of production from the West to countries like China.

Gandhi also discussed the ideological differences between the RSS and Congress, stating that while the RSS believes India is one idea, Congress believes in a multiplicity of ideas. He emphasized the importance of respecting India’s diverse languages, religions, traditions, and castes, as outlined in the Constitution.

Rahul Gandhi arrived in Dallas, Texas, for a three-day visit to the US, where he was welcomed by Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, and members of the Indian diaspora.
