Rahul Gandhi Takes Oath in Lok Sabha

On June 25, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took his oath as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Lok Sabha, representing Raebareli. He held a copy of the Constitution while taking the oath.

Family Support

Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by his mother, Sonia Gandhi, and sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who were present at the Parliament for his oath-taking ceremony.

Election Wins

Rahul Gandhi won from both Raebareli and Wayanad constituencies in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He decided to represent Raebareli, and Priyanka Gandhi is now running for the Wayanad seat.

Speaker Elections

The opposition INDIA bloc nominated K Suresh for the position of Lok Sabha Speaker, while the BJP nominated Om Birla. This will be the first time elections are held for the Speaker position, as it is usually decided by consensus.
