Rahul Gandhi Meets Railway Loco Pilots and Street Vendors, Criticizes BJP Government

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition and Congress leader, met with railway loco pilots at New Delhi Railway Station. The loco pilots complained about long working hours and inadequate facilities during their duty. Gandhi criticized the BJP-led central government, stating that the lives of loco pilots have ‘derailed’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime. He called them ‘Railways Ka Agniveer’ and promised to raise their issues in Parliament.

In a video posted on his social media handle X, Gandhi highlighted that loco pilots are forced to work more than 14 hours a day without basic necessities like urinals in locomotives. He claimed that non-movement workers of Railways are receiving the full benefits of the allocated budget, while loco pilots are deprived of basic facilities and humane working hours.

The loco pilots demanded a normal 8-9 hours working shift, basic facilities like urinals and air conditioning in locomotives, and only two-night shifts in a row. Gandhi assured that the INDIA bloc would raise their voice in Parliament against these issues.

Earlier, Gandhi met street vendors and daily wage laborers in GTB Nagar, Delhi. He criticized the BJP government, stating that these laborers are forced to live in poverty and run their households for four days with one day’s earnings. Gandhi promised to ensure that hard-working laborers get their full rights, security, and respect.
