Rahul Gandhi Meets Delhi Workers, Criticizes Government

Rahul Gandhi, a leader from the Congress party, recently visited street vendors and daily wage laborers in GTB Nagar, Delhi. He criticized the BJP government, saying these workers face severe hardships and live in poverty, often surviving on one day’s earnings for four days. Gandhi promised to fight for their rights, security, and respect.

Accusations Against Defence Minister

Gandhi also accused Defence Minister Rajnath Singh of lying about compensation for Agniveer soldiers in Parliament. He demanded an apology, claiming Singh misled the public about the benefits given to the families of fallen soldiers.

Indian Army’s Response

The Indian Army responded, clarifying that the family of Agniveer Ajay Kumar, who died in the line of duty, has already received Rs 98.39 lakhs. Additional benefits amounting to Rs 67 lakhs will be paid after police verification, totaling approximately Rs 1.65 crore.
