Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Maharashtra Government and PM Modi at Nanded Rally
In a public rally held in Nanded, Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP, voiced strong criticisms against the current state government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that the people of Maharashtra were “deprived” of their government and accused the government of “handing over” Dharavi to the Adani Group. Gandhi questioned the presence of Adani in a political meeting aimed at toppling the government, suggesting it was to acquire Dharavi.
He further highlighted issues of unemployment and rising prices in the state, claiming that while the wealth of industrialists like Adani and Ambani increases, local farmers, workers, and unemployed youth suffer losses. Gandhi also criticized PM Modi for not visiting Manipur, accusing him of fostering division and conflict among states.
In contrast, Gandhi spoke about his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra,’ a 4000-kilometer journey aimed at promoting unity and love in a climate of hatred. He accused the BJP of spreading hatred and causing conflicts between states, citing the situation in Manipur as an example.
Earlier, PM Modi, in a rally at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, accused the Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of dividing people and criticized Congress for corruption and hindering development. He claimed that Congress failed to plan for Mumbai’s future, causing the city to lag behind.
The voting for the 288-member assembly is scheduled for November 20, with the counting of votes on November 23.
