Karnataka Labour Minister Santosh Lad has voiced concerns over the government’s lack of response to the alleged NEET-UG exam paper leak. He stated, “There is no clarification from the government on the NEET issue…Rahul Gandhi asked the parliament to have a debate on it. They did not give me any opportunity…There is no democracy in the country.”

Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also criticized Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saying, “Education Minister is running away from his responsibilities…He is not ready to hear the concerns of the students…The students are looking at the MPs to raise the NEET issue…They (Central Government) are running away from a discussion on the NEET issue.”

Rahul Gandhi, in a post on ‘X’, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to engage in a constructive debate on the NEET exam and the paper leak issue, highlighting the anxiety it is causing to many families across India.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a criminal case on June 23 to investigate the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG and UGC-NET exams conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NEET-UG 2024 exam, held on May 5, saw 67 candidates achieve perfect scores, leading to widespread protests.
