Rahul Gandhi and Pralhad Joshi Clash Over ‘Chakravyuh’ Remark in Parliament
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi responded to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chakravyuh’ comment by accusing the Congress of corruption and scams over the past 60 years. Joshi called Gandhi’s remarks ‘dramabaazi’ and questioned why the Congress did not conduct a Caste Census or implement Mandal Commission recommendations.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had criticized the BJP’s Union Budget, likening it to a ‘Chakravyuh’ that traps the country. He accused six key figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, of controlling India. Gandhi said, ‘Thousands of years ago, in Kurukshetra, six people trapped Abhimanyu in a ‘Chakravyuh’ and killed him. Today, six people control India: Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Ajit Doval, Ambani, and Adani.’
Gandhi also claimed that the budget harms the middle class and concentrates financial power among a few. He said, ‘The Chakravyuh that has captured India has three forces behind it: monopoly capital, agencies like CBI and ED, and the political executive. These three together have devastated this country.’
The budget session of Parliament began on July 22 and will end on August 12.
