Rahul Gandhi and K Suresh Criticize BJP Over Hinduism Remarks in Lok Sabha

In a heated debate in the Lok Sabha, Congress MP K Suresh and Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of exploiting Hinduism for political gain. Suresh stated, “The BJP is only taking advantage of Hinduism; they want political advantage. BJP is not real Hindu.”

Rahul Gandhi alleged a systematic attack on India’s Constitution and those opposing the government. He said, “There has been a systematic and full-scale assault on the idea of India, the Constitution and on the people who resisted the attack on the Constitution.”

Gandhi emphasized non-violence and fearlessness, contrasting it with BJP’s alleged promotion of violence. He said, “All our great men have spoken about non-violence and finishing fear…But, those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth…Aap Hindu ho hi nahi.”

Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended the BJP, stating that associating violence with Hinduism is wrong. Shah said, “Connecting violence with any religion is wrong. He should apologise.” Modi added, “Calling the entire Hindu community violent is a very serious matter.”
