New Delhi, August 7: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wished Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat luck ahead of her final match in the women’s 50 Kg freestyle category at the Paris Olympics. Vinesh became the first Indian to reach the Olympic final in women’s wrestling after defeating Cuba’s Yusneylys Guzman 5-0 in the semi-final.

Rahul Gandhi expressed his emotions on social media, stating, “Today, along with Vinesh, the entire country is emotional after defeating three top wrestlers of the world in a single day. All those who denied the struggle of Vinesh and her teammates, and even questioned their intentions and abilities, have got their answer. Olympic Gold medalist Abhinav Bindra also praised Vinesh, highlighting her resilience despite a torn ligament and competing in a lower weight category. He said, “A torn ligament.
