New Delhi, India – Rahul Dravid, the head coach of Team India, recalled the last time Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the team in Ahmedabad when they were feeling down. This time, the meeting was full of pride and joy as the team celebrated their ICC T20 World Cup victory.

Last year, on November 19, the Indian team met PM Modi in the dressing room after losing the ODI World Cup final to Australia. PM Modi comforted each player, encouraging them to keep their spirits high.

Dravid thanked PM Modi for the opportunity to meet again on a happy occasion. He praised the players’ fighting spirit and never-give-up attitude, saying it will inspire the younger generation.

During the T20 World Cup final, Suryakumar Yadav made a crucial catch that helped India win by seven runs. He shared his experience of the catch during an interaction with PM Modi.

After returning to Mumbai, the team celebrated with an open-top bus parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium. Fans turned up in large numbers to cheer for the team, and the players danced and lifted the trophy high in the air.
