In Kumamoto, Japan, India’s badminton star PV Sindhu was eliminated from the Kumamoto Masters Japan 2024 in the round of 16. Sindhu, a former world champion and Olympic medalist, faced Canada’s Michelle Li, ranked 23rd in the world. Despite a strong start, Sindhu lost the match with scores of 21-17, 16-21, 17-21.

In the first game, Sindhu led by four points during the mid-game interval and secured a win.
