Russia is hosting the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan from October 22-24, with leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa attending. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Russia for the summit at Putin’s invitation. BRICS was formalized in 2006 and has since expanded to include South Africa.
