Punjab Police Foils Smuggling Plot in Amritsar
In Amritsar, Punjab, the police successfully thwarted a significant smuggling operation, arresting two individuals and recovering four weapons. The arrested individuals are Aditya Kapoor, also known as Makhan, and Ravinder Singh.
Weapons Recovered
The police seized a Glock Pistol, five magazines, and 14 rounds from the accused. An FIR has been registered at PS SSOC, Amritsar, and further investigations are ongoing.
Criminal Background
Aditya Kapoor has 12 criminal cases against him and was reportedly working under the direction of US-based criminals Balwinder S and Prabhdeep S, as well as Portugal-based criminal Manpreet. These groups are rivals of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria crime syndicate.

The DGP of Punjab Police shared on social media that this operation is a significant blow to illegal arms smuggling networks. The investigation aims to uncover previous smuggling activities by the accused.

Earlier, on October 31, the Amritsar Commissionerate police dismantled an interstate illegal weapons smuggling module, arresting seven operatives and seizing 12 pistols and other ammunition.
