Punjab Police Arrests Crime Boss Sukha Pistol and Gang in Amritsar

The Amritsar Commissionerate Police in Punjab has successfully busted an interstate crime syndicate. The police arrested the gang’s leader, Jai Sharma, also known as Sukha Pistol Ambarsarya, along with four other members from a flat in Kharar.

Details of the Arrest

Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab, Gaurav Yadav, identified the arrested members as Nikhil Sharma (alias Lala), Moni, Arpit Thakur, and Karan Sharma. The police recovered two 32-bore pistols, three magazines, and eight live cartridges from their possession.

Criminal Activities

The gang was involved in various criminal activities, including theft, snatching, and arms trafficking. They were planning an attack on a rival gang. The police have booked them under the newly introduced section 111 (Organised Crime) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Ongoing Investigation

Commissioner of Police (CP) Amritsar, Ranjit Singh Dhillon, stated that further investigations are ongoing to trace the gang’s connections and identify the arm smugglers based in Madhya Pradesh. More arrests and recoveries are expected.
