Punjab FC Signs Argentine Midfielder Ezequiel Vidal for 2024-25 Season
Mohali (Punjab), August 20: Punjab FC has announced the signing of Argentine midfielder Norberto Ezequiel Vidal as their fifth foreign player for the 2024-25 season. Vidal, 29, last played for Indonesian top-flight side Persita Tangerang.
Career Highlights
Born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, Vidal primarily plays as an attacking midfielder or winger. He began his professional career in 2011 with Club Olimpo, appearing 45 times and scoring three goals. He was loaned to Atletico Independiente, Delfin SC, and Atletico Juventud during his time with Olimpo.
In 2019, Vidal joined San Martin SJ in Argentina’s Primera B and later played for Atletico Alvarado, scoring five goals in 37 appearances. He had a brief stint with Independiente Rivadavia before moving to Persita Tangerang in 2022, where he scored 17 goals in 60 appearances over two seasons.
