Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Reviews Government Schemes with AAP Leaders in Chandigarh

On August 14, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP’s national general secretary Sandeep Pathak held a review meeting in Chandigarh. The meeting included AAP MLAs, Lok Sabha MPs, and ministers from Punjab.

Focus on Government Schemes

AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang explained that the meeting focused on how the government and organization will work in the coming days. They reviewed the status and implementation of the Chief Minister’s schemes. CM Mann emphasized the importance of gathering feedback from the public to improve these schemes.

Kang added, “Our MLAs will visit every village and every household to notify people about the state government’s schemes and gather feedback for improvements.” He also mentioned significant progress in employment opportunities and good governance over the past two years.

Response to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Earlier, CM Mann responded to a letter from Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding alleged attacks on engineers and contractors in Jalandhar and Ludhiana. Mann stated that local police had arrested the accused in both cases. He explained that one incident was due to over-excavation of land by an NHAI contractor, and the other was due to non-payment of financial dues by a contractor to its sub-contractor.

CM Mann assured that FIRs were promptly registered and arrests were made in both cases, attributing the causes to the contractors involved.
