Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Admitted to Hospital for Checkup Amid Controversy
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been admitted to Fortis Hospital for a regular checkup. According to an official statement from the Aam Aadmi Party, doctors are conducting various tests to assess his health condition.
Doctors have reported that CM Mann is generally fine but found signs of inflammation in an artery of his lungs, which is causing pressure on his heart and leading to fluctuating blood pressure. Further investigations and blood tests are pending, and he will remain under medical care overnight. A decision on his discharge will be made after the test results are available tomorrow morning.
CM Mann was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia criticized the Aam Aadmi Party and CM Mann, claiming that the real reason for his hospitalization is being concealed. Majithia alleged that Mann’s condition is serious and related to excessive drinking, leading to liver damage and liver cirrhosis. He urged transparency from the Punjab government and hospital authorities.
