Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], July 6: Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. He criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his lack of attention to governance, which Jakhar claims is leading to increased violence and hate crimes.

Jakhar stated, “Chief Minister is camping in Jalandhar for a by-poll while criminals run amok with impunity and can take anyone’s life at will.” He emphasized that maintaining law and order should be the top priority for any government, but accused the CM of being inept and casual in his approach.

After visiting Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Thapar at DMC, Jakhar highlighted the recent pattern of violent attacks in Punjab, including the fatal attacks on Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri in Amritsar and Prabhakar in Nangal. He demanded swift action in the recent attack on Thapar and urged the state government to seek assistance from the Centre if it cannot restore law and order.

Jakhar accused the state government of focusing on creating a false image of ‘Rangla Punjab’ through advertisements while neglecting public safety. He also criticized the CM for prioritizing his family’s security over that of the public.

Jakhar warned, “The Chief Minister must wake up. People of Punjab won’t forgive him for ruining Punjab’s culture of tolerance with his ineptness.”
