In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, students have been protesting outside the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) office. They are demanding that the PCS and RO/ARO exams be conducted in one day and one shift. In response, the Chief Minister’s Office announced that the preliminary examination will be held in one day. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the Commission to coordinate with students for the PCS Preliminary Examination 2024. A committee has been formed to review the RO/ARO (Pre.) Examination-2023, and a report will be submitted soon. Despite the announcement, students continue to protest, demanding official notice on the website. Prayagraj DM, Ravindra Kumar, stated that the exam date will be announced soon. UPPSC secretary Ashok Kumar met with the students, who have been protesting for four days, breaking barricades to reach the UPPSC office.
