Thane (Maharashtra) [India], August 20: Protests broke out in Badlapur after the alleged sexual assault of two minor girls at a local school. Angry residents blocked train tracks and pelted stones, leading to police intervention with lathi charges and tear gas.

Government Railway Police Commissioner Ravindra Shisve confirmed that the tracks have been cleared and train operations will resume soon.
