Hindu Sikh Global Forum Takes a Stand
In New Delhi, members of the Hindu Sikh Global Forum gathered outside the Canadian High Commission in Chanakyapuri to protest against attacks on Hindu temples in Canada. The Delhi Police increased security and managed the demonstrators.

Tarvinder Singh Marwah, President of the Hindu Sikh Global Forum, expressed concerns about ongoing incidents targeting Hindu and Sikh communities. He highlighted past challenges, including militancy and drug issues, and condemned recent attacks on temples.

Marwah emphasized the unity of India’s Sikh community and rejected separatist ideologies, stating, “A true Sikh can never be a Khalistani.” He affirmed the community’s respect for India’s tricolor and national integrity.

The protest occurs amid rising tensions between Canada and India. Canada accused India of involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, which India denied. Diplomatic relations have been strained, with India recalling diplomats after Canada named them ‘persons of interest.’
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar criticized Canada for granting visas to individuals linked to organized crime, despite warnings from India, and accused the Canadian government of supporting extremism under the guise of free speech.
