Protest in Palakkad: Congress Alleges Conspiracy Involving CPIM and BJP

In Palakkad, Kerala, the Congress party is holding a protest following an incident where police officers allegedly entered the rooms of women leaders for a search. The search took place on Monday night, with Congress leader Bindu Krishna stating that police knocked on her door around midnight. Her husband, Krishnakumar, was present, and they allowed the search. Similarly, former MLA Shanimol Usman requested a female officer for the search.

The police conducted the search based on information about black money being used in elections, searching 12 rooms without finding any evidence. Congress accused CPIM and BJP of collusion, noting that their workers arrived at the hotel soon after the police. Bindu Krishna claimed that BJP women leaders were present but their rooms were not searched.

V D Satheesan, Leader of the Opposition in Kerala, called the search a conspiracy between CPIM and BJP, demanding the resignation of Minister MB Rajesh, whom he accused of being involved. He noted that DYFI workers and CPIM representatives were at the hotel before the police. The incident led to a confrontation between CPIM, Congress, and BJP party workers.
