Company President Speaks Out

The president of the private company stated that the new taxes are unbearable for the salaried class. He urged the government to reconsider the tax policy, as many citizens are already contemplating leaving the country due to financial hardships.

Journalist Criticizes Government

During a post-budget press briefing, a journalist criticized the government for not holding wealthy officials accountable while punishing ordinary citizens. He highlighted the case of an employee earning PKR 45,000 per month whose mobile SIM was blocked for being a non-filer, while no action was taken against high-ranking officials with unexplained wealth.

Political Tensions

Amid the budget controversy, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari criticized the PML-N for not consulting their coalition partners on the budget.
