The Pro Panja League is set to host a major armwrestling event in Aizawl, Mizoram, during the second half of December 2024. This exciting event will feature top armwrestlers from across India, with the highlight being a match between renowned Mizo arm wrestler Denic Lalruattluanga Vangchhia and an international competitor.
Denic Lalruattluanga Vangchhia Shines
Denic recently gained attention by winning gold at the Asian Armwrestling Cup, helping India secure a runner-up position behind Kazakhstan. He was named the Indian player of the tournament by the Pro Panja League and received a cash reward of Rs 35,000.
Support from Mizoram’s Sports Minister
Lalnghinglova Hmar, the Sports Minister of Mizoram, expressed his happiness about hosting the event, stating, “I am happy to announce that we’re hosting the Pro Panja League Mega Match Mizoram edition at the Aizawl Winter Festival. This will help showcase our excellent Mizo Armwrestlers to the world and it will inspire a whole generation of Armwrestlers in Mizoram.”
