Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to File Nomination for Wayanad

On October 22, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will join Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as she files her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in Kalpetta. The Congress party approved Priyanka’s candidacy on October 15, following the announcement of the bypoll schedule by the Election Commission of India.

Support from Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader and Priyanka’s brother, expressed his support, stating that Priyanka would be a strong advocate for Wayanad. He invited people to join them on October 23 for the nomination filing.

Accompanying Leaders

Priyanka will be accompanied by Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Party President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Rahul Gandhi. They will participate in a roadshow starting at 11 AM, with the nomination filing scheduled for noon.

Preparations and Opposition

Priyanka met with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for guidance before the campaign. Saral Patel was appointed as Media Coordinator for Wayanad. The BJP candidate, Navya Hariprasad, and the Left Democratic Front candidate, Sathyan Mokeri, will also contest the bypolls. Wayanad will vote on November 13, alongside other elections in India.
