New Delhi, October 10: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed her condolences on the passing of Ratan Tata, a prominent industrialist, who died at the age of 86 in Mumbai. She praised his contributions to Indian industry and public welfare, stating that he will be missed by the nation.

Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge also mourned Tata’s death, calling him one of the greatest influencers of the century. He highlighted Tata’s passion for innovation and philanthropy, noting his impact on entrepreneurs and the country.

The Maharashtra Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, passed a resolution to recommend the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award, for Ratan Tata. The state government declared a day of mourning in his honor.

Ratan Tata, born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, was the Chairman of Tata Sons and led the Tata Group from 1991 to 2012. He was also the Chairman of major philanthropic trusts and received the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
