Priyanka Chaturvedi Talks About AI’s Future in India at Core AI Launch
Shivsena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP and leader Priyanka Chaturvedi highlighted the significant role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the lives of today’s generation during the launch of Core AI. She emphasized the need to harness India’s capabilities to become a world leader in AI.
Importance of AI for Youth
Chaturvedi noted that India has a large number of youths connected to mobile phones and electronic devices, making technology an integral part of their lives. She stated, “AI can improve human life and create jobs. Indians have the capacity, mindset, thinking ability, and analytical ability, we need to channel it so that it makes India, a world leader as far as AI is concerned.”
Benefits for Students
She also highlighted the benefits of AI for students, particularly those with learning disabilities. “If we make AI models in such a way that we can reduce their learning disabilities and treat them like normal students, it can also help to simplify the subjects that are difficult to learn,” she said.
International GenAI Conclave
Earlier, on July 11, the Government of Kerala, in collaboration with IBM, inaugurated India’s first International GenAI Conclave in Kochi. The two-day event brought together international and Indian technology experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and academia to explore the transformative potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).
The event was attended by notable figures such as the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, and Dinesh Nirmal, Senior Vice President, Products, IBM Software. Discussions focused on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in GenAI, and its role in fostering innovation across various sectors.
