Priyanka Chaturvedi Criticizes Maharashtra Government Over Law and Order
As the assembly election in Maharashtra approaches, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has raised concerns about the state’s law and order situation. She highlighted the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and expressed that the people of Maharashtra feel insecure.
Chaturvedi pointed out incidents such as people openly carrying guns in Pune and a crime in Badlapur involving individuals linked to the Bharatiya Janata Party. She questioned the lack of security for the public while Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s security was increased to ‘Z-plus’ level.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut also questioned the increased security for Fadnavis, asking why the Home Minister feels threatened. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole wrote to the Chief Election Commissioner, requesting the removal of Rashmi Shukla from her position, accusing her of bias against opposition parties.
The state is set to hold elections on November 20, with results to be announced on November 23.
