Maharashtra Elections: Confidence in Maha Vikas Aghadi
As the Maharashtra assembly elections approach, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi expressed confidence in the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). She claimed that the ruling Mahayuti alliance is experiencing internal conflicts. Chaturvedi stated, “Every leader of the Mahayuti is fighting amongst themselves. This party has come based on an opportunistic alliance to grab power. The people of Maharashtra will vote them out.” She also mentioned that the MVA would announce their candidates before the Mahayuti Alliance.
Allegations of Voter List Tampering
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut accused the BJP of tampering with the voters’ list in Maharashtra with the help of the Election Commission. Raut claimed that the BJP is replacing names of MVA supporters with bogus voters. He stated, “We will raise this issue on international platforms and tell people what is happening in the country.”
Concerns Over President’s Rule
Raut also alleged that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is attempting to impose President’s rule in Maharashtra post-elections. Uddhav Thackeray has called a special meeting to address these concerns.

Maharashtra will vote in a single phase on November 20, with results announced on November 23. In the previous elections, the BJP and Shiv Sena had significant wins, but the current political climate suggests a shift.
