Prime Ministers Modi and Albanese Discuss Bilateral Relations and Krishna Janmashtami
On August 27, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese shared that he had a great conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Albanese extended his wishes for Krishna Janmashtami and discussed the ongoing work between Australia and India, both bilaterally and regionally, including through the Quad.
Prime Minister Modi also expressed his delight in speaking with Albanese. They reviewed the progress in their bilateral relations and cooperation in multilateral forums.
Earlier, on July 29, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong. They discussed intensifying bilateral ties in areas such as security, trade, and education, and deepening practical cooperation across the Indo-Pacific.
Additionally, Australia is launching a new Cable Connectivity and Resilience Centre to support undersea cable networks in the Indo-Pacific. This initiative aims to ensure resilient networks and promote the growth of the digital economy in the region.
